short story: Morgan Stanley wealth mgmt officer hits cycling doctor from behind and plows him to pavement leaving him with debilitating injuries, drives off and who does he call.?......Mercedes Benz to fix his car. Vail DA reduces charge from felony to misdemeanor.
Now here's the twist, the DA may have felt the defendant would be in a better situation to pay the civil fines if charged with misdemeanor rather than losing his job and rotting in jail. So pick your poison, do you pillar the guy or let him work for life for the plaintiff...seems like either way the plaintiff lost big time from the get-go , all the rest is bullsh*t off to the side.

I worked 8 yrs at Vail and was potentially going to return this year for some skiing. Hmm may take my hard earned coin elsehwhere.
