Vietnamese Coffee "Mocha" with Nutella
I love Vietnamese Coffee but I am not a huge fan of ultrasweet condensed milk, so what is a man do but find a reasonable substitute.
You can find a stainless steel Vietnamese drip coffee filter for $2-3 at any asian market. I got mine for the equivalent of $0.71 in Hanoi last summer. Yay!
Boil water
Add one healthy dollop of Nutella to bottom of large coffee mug
Add one serving of coarse ground coffee* to filter, and screw down the press
[*I prefer Cafe Du Monde's Chicory or French Roast]
Set filter on top of mug and let the dripping commence
When drip is done, remove filter then stir vigorously to blend the viscosity of the Nutella into a nice creamy froth.
Enjoy warm or pour over ice.
How about: put nutella in mouth, sip coffee, shake head vigorously, swallow?
Man, I LOVE Nutella, I wish I drank coffee.
Before hard rides and races I always eat 2 sandwiches with Nutella and banana. Keeps me going for a while!
I've also thought about putting Nutella in little Ziploc bags instead of using GU.
Am I the only one who spoons it in from the jar to the mouth hole?
Hey K, why waste time finding a spoon if you can dig in w/your hand directly...
Costco has a $2.50 off coupon for Nutella right now: 2x13oz jars for $6.29 (limit 5).
Coupon available at the Customer Service desk when you walk in.
