Saturday 8/28 ride -- Two Hard Hours

Hi

I want to get some long climbs in before the Mt Tam Hill Climb (aka My First Race).  Was thinking of doing two on this Saturday's ride, and am hoping for some company:

1.  Tam East Peak from Mill Valley.

My goal is to work out what heart rate I can sustain for ~1 hour (or less...), so this will be a hard ride.  Obviously we'd connect the route by descending from Tam down Panoramic to Stinson.

Anyone up for some pain?

If that's your goal, I'll make it easy for you. You can sustain 95% of your max for an hour, assuming you don't blow your legs first. At least that's what I learned time trialing =). So my recorded max is about 196 and I've averaged 181 for an hour before. But you should do those nonetheless - good practice :).
